wasn't just 4th qtr, appy pulled out to 6-7 pt lead several times and the short bald ref would take the game over. was obvious half way through 3rd appy wouldn't be allowed to win the game even with the lead they had. i'm ok with the loss though because it at least gets appy out of this region for the next game. losing is a part of the game and anyone that's played knows at some point you will lose, only 1 team gets to win their last game so everyone else ends the season with a loss. you just hope it's because the other team was better. i was surprised appy won in overtime against hurley, Day did everything he could to give them the game that night. don't know if jervis went out with his girlfriend in high school or something but there is some definite hostility there.. castlewood is a quality team and losing to them would be no disgrace, but as the elderly couple from castlewood sitting in front of me at the game said, "normally we(cwood) don't get the benefit of calls like this. we want our boys to win to, just would prefer it was not like this. and then wished us luck as we travel." really classy couple. and we wish them all the best as well. good group of fans that support their team really well.

that is the exact reff that i was talking about. he is absolutley horrible. he is from pv, and he absolutley hates hoby stuart, and forrest since he is so good! we couldnt keep a lead with him. he has reffered 4 games this year for us, and we have lost every single one of them! but oh well, we get to move on to the next round, and are hopefully put down east mont

I'd say after this weekend you will wish you had got to stay in this region and faced Galax. From what I hear Eastern Montgomery is tough. Hope you guys beat them though!

Appy played them last year (best I recall), without an inside game and did fairly well till they got in foul trouble. I was surprised at how slow EM was, if I am thinking about the team that knocked Appy from last year's tourney.

One thing about it the Appy/EM winner has a better shot at the finals than the CW/Galax winner since that winner would more than likely face Madison County.

AHS lost to PV twice, JJK, and CW.

so how could a ref that went to PV ref those PV games?

EM is a really good team, beat Galax by 16. But win or lose, Appy stands a better chance playing the better team in Salem than playing Galax in Bristol with these refs
